Overview

Driver Warehouse Associate at Baker Distributing Company. Responsible for safe and efficient delivery of HVAC products and for maintaining the warehouse between deliveries. Represent Baker Distributing and uphold customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
• Daily loading and unloading of products in the truck for delivery to customers and/or other Sales Centers.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
• Assist in the Warehouse with inventory counts, picking, and verifying orders.
• Maintain and report daily truck maintenance and in/out times with merchandise returns.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures; report hazards or incidents immediately.
• Participate in regular safety training sessions and drills.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all products to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Follow guidelines for safe operation of the truck and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and workspace to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ensure loading/unloading activities are conducted safely using proper techniques and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-year truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no restrictions, suspensions, or DUI convictions in the past 3 years.
• Current DOT Physical card prior to employment; must pass DOT physical examination requirements.
• CDL license is highly desirable.
• Warehouse experience, including driving a forklift/appliance lift, is a plus.
• Effective communication with customers and superior service.
• Attitude of wanting to learn and grow with the Company.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver’s License.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods.
• Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Equipment may include forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery; must be able to utilize heavy machinery.
