Dal-Tile LLC is hiring: Warehouse Associate - CT in Westwood

Overview

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States. Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our team. The role involves material handling, receiving, loading/unloading, pulling/assembling customer orders, and inventory checks. Daily use of forklifts and/or cranes is required.

Primary Objective

Performs a variety of material handling duties associated with the warehouse.

Primary Function And Scope

• Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
• Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operates crane forklift equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, restroom upkeep, and general office maintenance.
• May assist customers and prepare sales slips.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following Safety Program rules and reporting accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience And Knowledge Required

• High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Forklift Operator
• Crane forklift experience plus 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred

Competencies

Basic math skills, organization, customer service, English fluency, attention to detail, and safety-consciousness.

Other Pertinent Job Information

Physical requirements include standing, frequent hand use, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crouch, or crawling. Ability to lift 15-30 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally. Team lift for boxes over 36 inches or over 70 lbs. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
