From tech fluency to leadership readiness, you’ll lay the foundation for a culture of continuous learning that is scalable and connected to business impact.The Team You'll Work WithThis is a senior Individual Contributor (IC) role within Carta’s People Team, reporting to the VP of Talent Acquisition. You will be the principal architect of this function, with autonomy to define our learning philosophy, architecture, and long-term strategy. You’ll partner with Talent, HR, People Ops, and Total Rewards, and work with leaders across the business to create nimble, relevant development programs aligned with how we grow, collaborate, and lead at Carta.What You’ll DoDevelop Carta’s AI enablement roadmap: identify critical AI-enabled capabilities and design learning experiences to build confidence, competence, and curiosity across the organizationRetool managers for the future by designing AI-informed learning journeys to help managers grow with their teams in a fast-changing environmentBuild and design development strategies across the employee lifecycle—onboarding, role transitions, performance conversations, promotions, and leadership readinessPartner with technical, business, and executive teams to identify skill gaps and opportunities for capability-buildingCo-create career development frameworks with HRBPs, empowering Cartans with clarity and ownership over their pathSelect and implement learning platforms or tools, prioritizing AI-enabled or adaptive learning for scalable, personalized deliveryEstablish feedback loops and success metrics to measure participation, learning transfer, and impactCreate learning programs that emphasize real-time enablement over generic content, driven by live team needs and experimentationMove fast and be scrappy—prioritizing high-impact, nimble solutions to meet business and people needsCultivate a culture of continuous learning through team-based collaboration, peer coaching, internal knowledge-sharing, and talent enablement systemsAct as a thought partner on how learning, feedback, performance, and employee experience intersect, co-designing with the businessQualifications10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, People Development, Organizational Design, or related fieldsProven success designing and scaling learning strategies for fast-growing, high-performing teamsStrong perspective on how AI is transforming the workplace and an ambition to help people work effectively in an AI-enabled worldMastery in program design, stakeholder management, and internal consulting—especially with technical functions and senior leadersComfort building new initiatives in ambiguous environments with strong project management and an ownership mindsetCoaching-oriented facilitation, team development, and building a feedback cultureExperience selecting, launching, and managing L&D tools or platforms, especially those leveraging AI or behavioral dataPassion for inclusive, accessible, and actionable learningBonus: Coaching certification or experience with facilitation frameworks and assessments like DiSC, Hogan, or CliftonStrengthsAbout Carta and CultureAt Carta, you’re a builder creating infrastructure that accelerates innovation and ownership. They work collaboratively across functions to challenge the status quo and create more owners in the private markets.Salary & BenefitsCarta’s compensation package includes a market-competitive salary, equity for full-time roles, exceptional benefits, and, where applicable, incentive plans. The minimum cash compensation for this role is $172,000 - $215,000 (New York and San Francisco).
