Overview A dedicated attorney position in Transactional / Corporate / Commercial with a clear partner track opportunity. Location: Nassau County, Long Island near the Queens border. On-site work with some flexibility to work remotely as needed.

Attorney, Transactional / Corporate / Commercial
at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Counsel level, depending on experience, with a
partner track
opportunity due to retiring partners. The firm emphasizes an
effective work/life balance
with no weekends, few late nights, and a goal of 1600 hours/year, including pro bono hours. Base pay range:
$150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr . Salary and responsibilities are contingent on experience and the value of a portable book of business. Responsibilities
Transactional / Commercial Business / Corporate work, including advising ownership and management of privately-held companies through startup to exit stages of growth. Counsel clients and manage key areas of Transactional / Commercial / Corporate matters, including buying, closing, forming, structuring, selling businesses, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance matters. Draft and negotiate commercial contracts. Prepare Operating / Shareholder / Employment Agreements. Handle client negotiations through closings related to commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing activities (if experienced in this area). Qualifications
4+ years of transactional / business / corporate experience. Licensed to practice law in NY. J.D. Relevant work experience related to commercial real estate is a
plus
but
NOT required . A portable book of business with a recurring / dependable revenue stream is
REQUIRED . Exceptional business acumen with ability to counsel clients on various business matters. Accountable self-starter with high EQ, motivated to learn and take on new responsibilities; able to own and manage client relationships from inception to close.
