Phaxis is looking for a qualified Contract School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in schools located in Pelham, NY, and the surrounding areas for the current academic year. Position Details: Title: Contract School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Pelham, NY Caseload: Preschool students enrolled in special education programs Schedule: 30 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Friday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM Duration: School Year Pay Range: $40-$50+/hr - Responsibilities: Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to preschool students as per their IEP mandates. Address key developmental areas including fine motor, gross motor, visual-perceptual, and self-help skills using sensory integration and adaptive techniques. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, school psychologists, behavioral teams, and classroom staff to support positive treatment outcomes. Complete and maintain accurate documentation (daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.) in a timely manner. Participate in meetings and consultations with educators, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and update IEP services as needed. Requirements: Valid New York State Occupational Therapist License Master's Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program NPI number Pediatric experience is preferred; however, new graduates with pediatric experience will be considered.
