InVitro Cell Research, LLC
We're hiring an extremely talented scientist focused on neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's disease. A deep background in Alzheimer's disease and dementia prevention is critical for success in this role, as are an intervention-oriented mindset to prevention and regenerative CNS medicine. Designing strategies to protect aging neurons and regenerate damaged neurons are two primary goals.
At ICR, you'll get to:
Devise novel practical and actionable interventions to slow age-related cognitive decline and prevent dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease Research highly translational technologies to preserve existing CNS function or repair/restore damaged CNS components Collaborate with other ICR scientists to leverage company resources and maximize productivity
Please apply if you have:
A PhD with postdoctoral experience focused on regenerating lost CNS neurons/other cells, repairing damaged CNS neurons/other cells or preventing age-related brain damage Extensive knowledge of iPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell)-derived
in vitro
neuronal models as well as experience with exosomes as therapeutics; additional mixed cell-type culture models is preferred Experience making iPSC-derived brain organoids for compound screening Even if you don't meet all of these criteria, please apply anyway
Ideally, you'll also have:
Hands-on experience with fluorescence microscopy Experience with mitochondrial energetic assay systems like Seahorse Knowledge of basic stem cell-derived neuronal-type differentiation pathways A deep understanding of modern preventive and regenerative CNS medicine Expertise in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases
And you'll need:
A friendly, easygoing personality The ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation is commensurate with experience. The compensation ranges listed below are
