Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Manual Machinist to join its Fluid Power Division.
POSITION SUMMARY Performs setup, calibration, maintenance and operations on a variety of machining equipment including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and hydraulic presses to assemble and/or disassemble and repair components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assemble, disassemble, and repair components for hydraulic cylinder repair. Operate lathe and mill saws. Maintain equipment. Able to read drawings to manufacture needed parts. Knowledge and use of calibration equipment. Adhere to standard operating procedures including quality, safety and environmental.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas: Ability to understand the proper use of hand tools. Knowledge of lifting devices. Ability to setup tooling and equipment for assigned jobs. Ability to follow written and oral procedures. Work within established safety and quality standards.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience:
Three years machinist experience/2nd class minimum
Skills taught after hire as needed:
ISO Training, Safety Training, Product Training, Maintenance, Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Training
Certificates & Licenses:
None

Supply your own hand tools
Travel Requirements:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in indoors in an uncontrolled environment with occasional work outside
