About The Position
We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Nov 14, 2025, and spans a 16-day assignment, with 12-hour shifts from 11am to 11pm. The schedule includes 3-4 shifts per month, primarily during the latter half of November through January.
Job Details Location: California Start Date: Nov 14, 2025 LOA: 16 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 12-hour shifts (11am-11pm), 3-4 shifts per month, November through January, with a preference for the latter half of each month
Responsibilities and Duties Provide acute care to patients presenting with ESI triage level 3, 4, and 5 Deliver high-quality emergency medical care under the direction of attending physicians Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and transitions Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices within the emergency medicine setting
Additional Information Active California Nurse Practitioner license required Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required Demonstrated experience with acute care and emergency medicine cases Strong communication and clinical assessment skills necessary
