Role Overview We’re seeking an

Architectural Designer (5+ years experience)

with a strong background in

luxury residential projects.

You’ll participate in all phases of design, own production of documentation packages, and collaborate closely with our architects, GC partners, fabricators, and artisans to bring homes from concept through completion.

We specialize in creating refined, one-of-a-kind residences that blend timeless architecture with thoughtful interiors and craftsmanship. From concept to construction, our work is detail-driven and design-forward.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:

Develop concepts, schematic designs, and design development packages for high-end residential projects. Technical Documentation:

Produce accurate drawings, elevations, details, and specifications; build 3D models for design visualization and client presentations. Material Selection:

Research and specify materials, finishes, and assemblies that align with project vision and quality standards. Construction Support:

Participate in site visits, review contractor submittals, and maintain design intent during construction administration. Collaboration:

Work seamlessly with the Cove House design–build team, consultants, contractors, and artisans to ensure projects are executed at the highest level.

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience:

5+ years in architectural/interior architecture, with a portfolio of luxury residential projects. Education:

Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field. Software Proficiency:

AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or Revit required; Adobe Creative Suite preferred; 3D rendering tools (Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion) a plus. Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of assemblies, construction detailing, and residential building codes. Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting and coordinating with clients and consultants. Mindset:

Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Bonus:

Experience with construction administration and prior completed residential projects.

Location & Workstyle

Based in

Santa Barbara/Montecito, CA On-site/hybrid role with jobsite visits and vendor coordination.
