Job Title: Office Assistant III
Hours of Work: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 7:45 am-4:30 pm
Duration: 12 Months (With possible extension)
Location: Honolulu, HI 96816 (Onsite)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Scope of services:
Provide a wide range of clerical services to the branch including to process fiscal payments for medical evidence and consultative examinations, process outgoing mail, and answer phone calls. Processing fiscal payments involve reviewing the request for payment/invoice for completeness, reviewing the case file to ensure that we received the records or reports for payment, approving payment in our case processing system (which creates the purchase order), routing the purchase orders for signature, and submitting the purchase orders to the Fiscal Management Office for payment. Processing outgoing mail involves checking the documents to ensure that there is no unauthorized disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information, stuffing envelopes, and operating the postage machine. Equipment to be used:
Postage machine, laptop/computer, printer Minimum Knowledge, skills, and education and/or experience:
Minimum Computer Software Skills/Knowledge to be Used: Basic Experience:
Ability to use computers and word processing, and web-based software applications. Six months of work experience which demonstrated knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and arithmetic; the ability to read and understand oral and written instructions; write simply and directly; and compare words and numbers quickly and accurately. Clerical Experience:
One year of work experience which involved the performance of a variety of clerical tasks and demonstrated knowledge of office practices and procedures, and the ability to carry out procedures in clerical work systems, and operate various kinds of office equipment and technologies.
