2025-2026 School Year TEACHER OF THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING Possess a NJ DOE certificate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Oral/Aural communication. NJ DOE elementary education endorsement – required. Knowledge of AVT techniques and sign language communication – preferred. Background working with hearing impaired students – preferred. COMPENSATION RATE/RANGE: $73,690 - $111,682 TEACHER ASSISTANTS (MULTIPLE VACANCIES) High School diploma. Effective written and oral expression. Demonstrated ability to work with or experience working with children with disabilities. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance. Experienced computer/clerical skills – highly preferred. Willing and able to complete Crisis Management training.
