Job Summary
Reporting to a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, this position performs essential warehouse functions in a high-tempo production environment while maintaining safety awareness.
Essential Functions/Duties
Warehouse Operations- Unloads goods and materials, enters information into the system, labels and locates material.
- Separates customer orders, pulls and stages orders, and repacks material as required to meet customer specifications; may box, label, and locate materials.
- Ensures all products are properly labeled.
- Performs designated system transactions to receive or ship material as required.
- Participates in cycle counting; enters/verifies information and researches adjustments as necessary.
- Reviews preventive maintenance check sheets for forklifts and ensures equipment is in good working order.
- Conducts daily equipment inspections and ensures inspection paperwork is completed and submitted daily (e.g., forklift, transfer system, compressor).
- Follows all safety and work rules; maintains housekeeping standards.
- Participates in daily safety briefings and monthly safety meetings.
- Participates in operations training and development programs.
- Maintains a positive attitude while performing job functions.
- May handle accumulation, disposal, and transportation of hazardous waste; if required, completes prerequisite training for RCRA waste management requirements.
- Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, reach trucks, rail-movers, or other heavy-duty material movers when properly certified; never operates equipment without certification.
- Reviews receipts and shipments to ensure accuracy of incoming/outgoing material; ensures documentation matches product.
- Relocates goods and tracks relocations; maintains meticulous records of shipping/receiving documentation.
- Performs routine light maintenance on related packaging equipment.
- Supervises outside maintenance work and contractors when requested by management.
- Ensures safety procedures are followed during machine outages or maintenance.
- Maintains detailed maintenance inspection records/logs and communicates issues to Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehousing experience is preferred.
The following are typical physical requirements for this role. Tasks include overtime, long hours, weekends and holidays as needed; lifting up to 55 lbs, moving up to 250 lbs, climbing ladders, operating control panels, and using hand tools; ability to use fingers and hands; reach with arms; and communicate verbally and in writing. Visual acuity is required for close and distance tasks.

- Work Environment: Fast-paced warehouse with use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment; some outdoor exposure; employees stand, walk, lift, and carry materials; temperature variations; adherence to safety standards; teamwork and attention to detail are essential.
- Position Type/Hours: Full-time; overtime, long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
