API Inspection Planner – Hybrid (Home/Site)

Hybrid – mix of home and site work in Baytown, TX Travel:
25%–40% (depending on assignment) Schedule:
40 hours per week + occasional overtime We are seeking an
API Inspection Planner
to support outage and maintenance projects by creating fully executable job plans from inspection scopes. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and a safety-first mindset. What You'll Do Develop detailed work plans for inspection and outage scopes, including P&IDs, isometrics, BOMs, tools, safety requirements, and QC standards. Lead assigned portions of outage scope from planning through execution. Coordinate with multiple disciplines and contractors, providing oversight and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Provide daily updates during outage execution and manage contractor performance, timesheets, change orders, and field oversight. Support the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely. Complete closeout documentation per company standards. What We're Looking For Current
API 510
and
API 570
certifications (required). 10+ years of maintenance and/or engineering experience, ideally with industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting, and pipe fabrication. 5+ years of experience as a
Mechanical Planner , building detailed execution work packages. Strong knowledge of
ASME codes
(B31.1, B31.3, Sec. I, Sec. VIII). Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and Primavera P6 Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, design packages, and pipe specifications. Safety-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
