A Brief Overview
The Development Officer has a pivotal and evolving role within the Foundation, combining donor engagement with project management and administrative support. This position offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities that will shift and grow daily as the department evolves. The role provides opportunities to contribute directly to fundraising outcomes while ensuring the smooth execution of projects and initiatives.
What you will do Provides project coordination and administrative support across development initiatives, ensuring timely follow-through on assignments. Maintains and updates donor and prospect records, tracks progress, schedules meetings, and prepares briefing materials and reports. Use and maintain accuracy in donor-management systems and related databases. Assists in preparing proposals, correspondence, presentations, and other written materials. Helps plan and organize donor engagement activities and events, including logistics, scheduling, and materials. Supports stewardship by preparing acknowledgments, recognition materials, and updates for donors. Collaborates with development colleagues, hospital administration, and other stakeholders to support strategy and align projects with institutional priorities. Contributes to identifying and engaging new prospects and assisting with early-stage outreach, including individuals as well as corporations and foundations Adapt to evolving departmental needs by taking on varied tasks as required.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required Advanced Degree Preferred Minimum 2 years experience in fundraising or a related field Required Experience in Healthcare or a similarly complex environment is a plus.
