GMHFH's ReStore is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our mission of helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. This is a part-time, in-person position.
Department: ReStore, in-person
FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: According to candidate and store needs
Reports To: ReStore Manager
Supervises: none
Primary Responsibilities
- Unloading the truck when drivers return from pickups and bringing furniture and items out on the floor throughout the day.
- Loading the sales floor with merchandise during the shift.
- Unloading donated items from donors' vehicles in the Donation Lane and approving or denying donations based on condition.
- Communicating GMHFH’s mission to donors and providing proper documentation for donations.
- Assisting truck drivers with unloading donation pickups and getting items onto the sales floor directly from the truck.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attend community and GMHFH events and assist with setup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Desired Education and Experience
- Experience with handling heavy goods and loading goods for transport preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Ability to communicate well with staff and donors.
- Dependable and able to stick to a schedule.
- Excellent customer service skills to respond to questions or concerns.
- Flexibility to switch to different tasks quickly.
- Able to focus on and complete loading of the truck for the entire shift.
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate is $16 per hour for this part-time, in-person position, and the position includes a 20% discount to Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
