Position: Benefits Manager Location: Greeneville, TN Pay: 85-100k Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused professional to oversee and optimize employee benefits across several locations. This individual will guide the design, compliance, and daily management of programs that support the company’s people strategy. Acting as the internal expert on health, wellness, and leave programs, this role will also handle vendor relationships, employee communications, and ongoing improvements to benefits offerings.

Primary Responsibilities Administer a full range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and leave programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while coordinating benefits in multiple states. Manage relationships with brokers and third-party vendors, including renewals, contract terms, and issue resolution. Lead the annual enrollment process, from HRIS setup to employee communications and execution. Maintain compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state-specific requirements. Partner with HR and Payroll to improve processes and address employee benefit concerns. Prepare reports and analytics to track participation, costs, and program effectiveness. Develop and deliver employee-facing materials that clearly explain benefits programs. Manage benefit-related onboarding and offboarding tasks. Stay current on trends in employee benefits and recommend competitive, cost-conscious enhancements.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline (certifications such as CEBS/PHR/SPHR preferred). At least 5 years of hands-on experience in benefits administration with increasing responsibility. Strong working knowledge of benefit compliance requirements and employment law. Skilled in HRIS platforms (experience with UKG or Benefits First is a plus). Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and organizational abilities with project management experience. Willingness to travel quarterly to South Carolina sites and as needed for enrollment support.
