Contract role focused on enrollment and disenrollment activities for TennCare members, with emphasis on redetermination processes and PERLSS implementation support. The position supports the LTSS Operations team as it handles increased workload related to PERLSS and ongoing Medicaid redeterminations with partners including MCOs, Nursing Facilities, DIDD, and other state entities.

Responsibilities

  • Enters, deletes, and revises enrollment-related actions in Interchange.
  • Assists in the redetermination process and submits lists of all members to be renewed to appropriate external partners.
  • Disenrollment functions: review and process all requested and approved disenrollments (voluntary or involuntary) for TennCare LTSS members in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure effective dates are accurate and research discrepancies related to effective dates to prevent eligibility issues for members, providers, and MCOs.
  • Communicate disenrollments for the Katie Beckett program to program leadership.
  • Transcribe approved PASRR determinations from the TMED system into the PERLSS system to enable subsequent enrollment and eligibility actions on completed records.
  • Support the enrollment team’s PERLSS-related work, monitor and report defects, contribute to process improvements, and support additional PERLSS implementation phases.
  • Assist with monitoring and following up on lists shared with MCOs, Nursing Facilities, DIDD, and other state partners to help members through the renewal process as redeterminations restart after the Public Health Emergency.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree with two years of qualifying professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet specific timeframes with minimal supervision.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines; strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
