We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of HUD and Section 8 affordable housing communities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of federal housing programs, compliance requirements, and strong tenant relations skills, with proven experience using
Yardi Property Management Software Temp-to-hire position Monterey Park, CA - Onsite $30-$34/hr (DOE) Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day property operations, ensuring compliance with HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, and other regulatory housing programs.
Oversee resident recertifications, lease renewals, and annual inspections to maintain program compliance.
Prepare and submit HUD reports, Section 8 documentation, and other required compliance records accurately and on time.
Utilize Yardi to process rent collections, postings, adjustments, and generate financial and compliance reports.
Supervise leasing, maintenance, and support staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality resident service.
Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution while promoting positive resident relations.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, curb appeal, and adherence to housing standards.
Coordinate vendor contracts, repairs, and maintenance activities within budget guidelines.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and occupancy trends to maximize property performance.
Facilitate evictions and legal processes in compliance with housing laws and organizational policies.
Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in property management, with direct experience managing HUD and Section 8 housing.
Strong working knowledge of HUD regulations, Section 8 program requirements, and affordable housing compliance.
Proficiency in
Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze
required.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Property Management, or related field preferred.
Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or other affordable housing certification a plus.
