Overview

CDL Truck Driver role with Waste Connections of New York. Hiring immediately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
• Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles (fluids, safety equipment, tires).
• Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes with no helpers.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Provide courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Clean safety and driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
