Role Summary
My client seeking a
Business Applications Architect
who will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the future-state enterprise application ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end solution integrity across the US business applications landscape, including architecture, integration strategy, and optimization beyond the S/4HANA program. A key focus will be driving the migration from NetSuite to SAP S/4HANA while modernizing and optimizing applications such as SAP S/4HANA 2022 Private Cloud and FIORI. The Architect will design scalable, sustainable integrations and business processes that align with long-term digital transformation strategies within a GXP and SOX-compliant environment. The role also leads efforts in business process standardization, application architecture, and integration frameworks, ensuring alignment between business needs and system capabilities. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the holistic architect for US IT business applications, ensuring cohesive integration across systems, including SAP S/4HANA and the broader application ecosystem. Act as the final decision-maker for design choices, ensuring solution integrity and eliminating redundant system capabilities. Lead the architectural design and implementation strategy for SAP S/4HANA, SAP FIORI, and related business applications. Guide the NetSuite-to-SAP S/4HANA migration, including data flows, business processes, and cutover planning. Design integration frameworks connecting SAP with legacy and future-state systems. Conduct current- and future-state assessments to align with strategic IT initiatives. Partner with IT teams, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure solutions align with business objectives. Oversee technical change management, configuration governance, and SDLC compliance. Support system documentation, post-implementation reviews, and continuous improvement. Provide architectural input for vendor and platform selection to align with enterprise IT strategy. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, enterprise architecture, and ERP system integration. Expertise with FIORI application design and implementation. Strong knowledge of business process architecture and system interoperability. Experience leading ERP migrations, preferably from NetSuite to SAP. Familiarity with GXP, SOX, and ITGC processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on scalable solutions. Travel & Location Occasional travel ( Hybrid role based in Boston, MA (2–3 days per week onsite).
