Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Field Service Technician
with a strong background in
industrial food processing equipment . The ideal candidate will have proven
electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills , a solid understanding of automated machinery, and the ability to travel extensively to customer sites. This role ensures equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired to meet production and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial food processing machinery at customer locations. Perform both electrical and mechanical diagnostics to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and system upgrades. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, and routine maintenance. Provide timely and detailed service reports, documenting all work performed. Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend design improvements and identify recurring equipment issues. Travel frequently (up to 75% or as required) to domestic and occasional international customer sites. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience servicing industrial machinery, preferably in food processing environments. Strong understanding of
electrical systems (480V, PLCs, sensors, motors)
and
mechanical assemblies (gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
