Project Designer - Luxury Interior Design Firm
OHARA DAVIES-GAETANO INTERIORS
, a world class high-end design firm, seeks an efficient, detail oriented, diligent Project Designer with 4-7 years of design firm experience to work alongside our Project Managers and Junior Designers on luxury residential interior design projects at our Culver City office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of client presentations (Formatting, organizing, and printing) Space planning and layout development, based on clear directive provided by Project Manager(s) and Principal Work alongside Project Manager(s) of custom products including measurements, hardware, finish, type of wood, etc. Price all sourced products accurately and maintain up-to-date pricing documentation Support in budget implementation based on directive from Project Managers(s) Review of all orders to ensure accuracy Light source of new products and materials including furniture, accessories, lighting, window treatments, and paint colors, based on clear directive provided by Project Manager(s) and Principal Following up with vendors on orders and lead times Collaborate with the expediter to ensure timely and accurate vendor deliveries Lead in CFAs and RMAs Support in comprehensive project schedules Coordinate and manage various tasks alongside Project Manager(s) Participate in site visits and in person client meetings, dependent on the site location and project structure Be available and responsive across time zones to handle any installation issues or urgent needs Manage and motivate design assistants and interns, promoting collaboration and professional growth Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible and proactive approach Support in warehouse and merchandising coordination to ensure smooth logistics and timely installations Client Installation preparation Willing to travel (domestic)
What We’re Looking For:
Education: 4-year degree or equivalent experience Experience: 3-5 years' experience in interior design Residential design and space planning expertise Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD (required) Familiar with Studio Designer (or similar) and Microsoft Office Design Skills: Ability to sketch and space planning abilities Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills Professional in addressing inquiries and concerns Organization: Manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail in orders and documentation Problem-Solving: Resourceful with strong troubleshooting skills Work Style: Independent yet team-oriented Proactive and initiative-driven Client Focus: Committed to delivering luxury experiences Work Schedule: This is a hybrid position in our LA office. The role requires working on-site 4-days per week and allows for 1 remote workday each week. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating in person with team members while also managing independent tasks remotely.
