Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Pearl River, LA. This is a solo driving position with regional routes and home every day except one possible layover per week.

Compensation and Schedule

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: 0.62 per mile to 1.35 per mile based on trip length (1200–1700 miles per week)
• Solo Stops Pay: 21.00 per stop (2–4 stops per day)
• Per Diem Pay: 50 per night with 1 night out per week possibly
• Safety Bonus: 300 four times a year
• Paid Training
• Schedule: 6-day work week with 1 full day off during the week; weekends and holidays
• Start Time: Dispatch between 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Equipment and Routes

• Deliver SOLO to: 500 mile radius of Pearl River, LA
• Route: Regional – Home every day except one possible layover per week.
• Tractor Type: Day Cab
• Trailer Type: 53' Reefer
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack
• Freight: Touch – Grocery items; driver will assist with unloading at stores, strapping and securing load before leaving each stop

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years OR
  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
