Overview

This is a data analytics role focusing on analytical data needs, handling complex data requests, reports, and predictive data modeling. It supports a new team intended to make a mark on the organization immediately. This is a fully telecommute position located in Saint Louis, Missouri, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analytical data needs. Handle complex data requests, reports, and predictive data modeling.
  • Analyze health management programs including: data collection, validation and outcome measurement
  • Work with Financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member data
  • IRS, CMS, HHSC, HEDIS reporting
  • Internal data cleansing and data reconciliation analysis
  • Trend analysis in various functional areas of health care management
  • Create and generate reports through MS-Excel, MS-Access, and SQL using Business Objects interface and direct links to core databases (ODS/EDW)
  • Produce reports for and interface with senior management and internal and external stakeholders
  • Gather and interpret business requirements and monitor data trends to proactively identify issues
  • Execute data changes and update core systems as needed
  • Handle multiple projects and timelines effectively and communicate risks and issues to manager regularly
  • Assist with training lower level Data Analysts
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Top 3 must-haves: Advanced Excel & Power BI expertise (Power BI: DAX, data modeling, visualization; Power Query; VBA macros; scalable workbook design for large datasets)
  • ServiceNow Data & PPM knowledge (understanding of ServiceNow PPM data structures; ability to work with exported ServiceNow data)
  • Data Architecture & Modeling (designing layered data models, data normalization and curation)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 2+ years relevant experience; related IT experience acceptable
  • HEDIS: Bachelor's degree related field or equivalent experience; 2+ years of statistical/data analysis or 1+ years of HEDIS data analysis
  • BUSINESS ANALYTICS: Bachelor's degree related field or equivalent experience; 2+ years of statistical/data analysis or 1+ years IT experience including data warehouse, coding or ETL
  • PHARMACY UNDERWRITING: Bachelor's degree related field or equivalent experience; 2+ years of statistical/data analysis or 1+ years related financial or IT experience including data warehouse, SQL, coding, financial reporting/auditing, Underwriting, client reporting or predictive analytics

Additional Qualities

  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
