A leading pulp and conversion plant is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee equipment reliability and lead a skilled team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on reducing downtime, strengthening preventive programs, and partnering with operations to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, planners, and technicians • Manage mechanical and electrical systems reliability across the facility • Build and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs • Utilize CMMS to schedule, monitor, and document maintenance activities • Analyze recurring equipment problems and implement long-term solutions • Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components • Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and meet production targets • Enforce safe work practices and maintain OSHA compliance Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical background • 5 or more years of maintenance leadership in manufacturing, ideally pulp, paper, or heavy industry • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems • Hands-on experience with CMMS and reliability methods (PM, PdM, RCA, FMEA) • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and deliver measurable results Why This Role This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on safety, uptime, and productivity in a complex operation.
