Fenagh Engineering and Testing
Fenagh Engineering and Testing is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the execution of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection projects out of our Rancho Cucamonga, CA office. This role is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all codes, standards, and client requirements.
The Project Manager will oversee teams of inspectors and technicians, coordinate with clients and contractors, and prepare comprehensive reports on findings and project status. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required. As a PE, this role will also be responsible for stamping appropriate documents across multiple jurisdictions for assigned projects.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management Plan, organize, and manage CMT and Special Inspection projects from inception to completion. Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely delivery. Assist Business Development staff with cost estimating during the proposal phase.
Project Financial Management Monitor budgets and financial performance of assigned projects. Ensure accurate project billing and cost control.
Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance to inspection and testing staff. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and codes. Analyze test results and inspection findings, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Communicate project status, findings, and issues effectively. Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Documentation & Reporting Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and supporting documentation. Ensure project records are accurate, complete, and properly archived. Maintain up-to-date schedules, budgets, and correspondence.
Team Management Supervise, mentor, and support a team of inspectors, technicians, and support staff. Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to reinforce safety and quality standards. Evaluate performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency in all deliverables. Conduct audits and field visits to verify compliance and quality.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMT and Special Inspections, with at least 2 years in a Project Management role. Legally authorized to work in the United States
Technical requirements: Professional Engineer License in (CA) is required or ability to obtain license or reciprocity within 6 months highly preferred. Relevant certifications such as NICET, ICC Special Inspector, or similar credentials. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in project management and LIMS software. Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and Special Inspection methods. Project Financial Management - Relevant experience with budgeting, preparing change orders, preparing invoices and collections. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholders. Work independently with limited supervision. Good written & verbal communication skills

The Project Manager will lead a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinate with clients and contractors, and prepare detailed reports on findings and project status.
