Title: Logistics Specialist I Location: Vacaville, CA 95688 Duration: 03 Months

Mon-Fri 1st shift (6am - 3pm) 5x onsite

Description: In this unique position, Logistic Specialists are responsible for the execution of material logistics in a cGMP environment. This includes receiving, sampling, storage and distribution of materials, as well as the transfer of materials manufacturing and the weighing & kitting of direct materials for manufacturing use. Handling and shipping of hazardous materials as required. Additional responsibilities include performing data entry into various databases, safely utilizing material handling equipment, adhering to cGMP procedures, ensuring department regulatory compliance and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

Duties: Properly use all business and support systems (DCS, POMS, SAP, LIMS, PQS Systems, etc.) Safely operate material handling equipment including drum lifters/conditioners, forklifts/pallet jacks, etc. Identify issues through “line of sight” accountability; escalate process issues as necessary to ensure resolution. Inform Supervisor and receive guidance on issue resolution Proactively complete required training and certifications; strictly comply with Genentech Policies Communicate effectively and professionally in a team environment, be supportive of other team members Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Immediately report safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety suggestions. Prepare raw materials and components for shipment to other Genentech manufacturing sites Perform weighing & kitting of direct materials for manufacturing use Perform washing of soiled parts/equipment using specified equipment Perform inventory, ordering, and storage of raw materials and supplies as required, using both material handling and RF equipment Maintain accurate documentation and raw materials inventory Complete inventory checks and cycle counts with goal of 100% inventory accuracy Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition, remain inspection ready at all times Perform miscellaneous material handling duties when required

Skills: Numerate, literate and works to a high degree of accuracy. Experience in computer-based systems and use in a validated environment preferred. Warehouse and inventory management experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Works well in a team or as an individual. Able to operate power industrial equipment (Forklifts) preferred Ability to work in a highly cooperative team environment
