We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a rapidly growing company in the greater Raleigh area. Responsibilities:
Lead key areas of the monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis Prepare and review internal financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Maintain financial schedules related to prepaid expenses, property taxes, interest accruals, and debt amortization Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals Calculate and record inventory and COGS entries; work with operations to resolve variances Support budgeting and forecasting efforts Assist with lease accounting and compliance with relevant reporting standards Contribute to process improvements, systems upgrades, and internal control enhancements Take on special projects and ad hoc reporting at the request of the CFO and leadership team Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a general ledger-focused role Strong grasp of GAAP and experience preparing full financial statements Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems Excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environment Prior experience in manufacturing is highly preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
