Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Molding Machine Operator / Assembly Line Worker to join our medical device manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection moulding, machine operation, and assembly line processes, particularly in a cleanroom or regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor injection mold machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper function.
Set up moulding machines, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and perform machine changeovers as required.
Inspect molded parts for quality and conformance to specifications using measuring tools and visual checks.
Perform repetitive tasks on the assembly line including part assembly, trimming, and packaging.
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO standards.
Accurately complete production documentation and maintain logs for traceability.
Report equipment malfunctions and deviations in product quality promptly to the supervisor.
Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure production efficiency and safety.
Adhere to all safety, cleanroom, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in machine operation, molding, or injection molding, preferably in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, GMP, and ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in medical device assembly or molding.
Experience operating automated moulding and assembly machines.
Knowledge of mold materials and basic quality control practices.
