Recruiting Peer Specialists Greater Binghamton Health Center Join the Greater Binghamton Health Center Team Greater Binghamton Health Center (GBHC) is currently recruiting Peer Specialists. Come to our Job Fair to learn more about job opportunities at GBHC – On-site interviews will be available! Friday - 10/3 10:00am - 4:00pm Saturday - 10/4 10:00am – 2:00pm Peer Specialists at GBHC serve as role models and assist patients in regaining personal control over their lives and recovery process. Our Peer Specialists help support hope and recovery for adults with serious mental illness and children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. Peer Specialists at GBHC: Teach patients effective coping strategies, sometimes based on personal experience. Assist patients in clarifying their goals. Help patients develop support systems. Are patient advocates.
