As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic healthcare location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence, and responding promptly to any situations as they arise. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report on any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to support a secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with company and site requirements, maintaining accurate and timely records.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
