Position: Security Guard - Residential Patrol Driver — Duluth, GA

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment at a residential location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the community to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents and visitors alike. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required as you may be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

  • Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Thu 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the residential location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Provide customer service by assisting residents, guests, and visitors with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established guidelines and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
