Overview
Local Delivery Driver role at The Pittsburgh Paints Company. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule within typical store hours.
Starting pay: $16.50 per hour. Full-time benefits and weekly pay are provided.
Location: Houston, TX (as listed in the original posting).
Immediately hiring for a customer-facing role delivering products to customers at construction and residential sites, businesses, and contractor locations using a PPCo company vehicle daily.
Hours
- Monday – Friday: 6:30am – 4pm
- Saturday: 8am – 12noon
- Sunday: Closed
Responsibilities
- Deliver paint and supplies to customers and job sites.
- Load and unload the vehicle while matching products to customer paperwork with accuracy.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections on the PPCo delivery vehicle.
- Complete delivery paperwork promptly, utilize vehicle technology, and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Maintain PPCo high service standards in the store and during deliveries to resolve customer issues.
- Support the store by providing customer support, tinting and mixing paint, stocking, loading and unloading trucks, and helping maintain store cleanliness.
- Complete mandatory safety training and wear protective gear for job tasks.
- Report to the Store Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license in the state of current residence with no restrictions and an acceptable driving record.
- Customer service skills with a team-oriented focus and stable job history.
- Available to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and carry up to 80 pounds periodically and 50 pounds regularly.
