How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Director, HR is responsible for overseeing and aligning the organization’s human resources functions with its strategic priorities and objectives in alignment with Airgas & Air Liquide strategy. Responsible for implementing HR strategy, by proactively partnering with their clients and key stakeholders to deliver the expected results. Provides insight and advises the organization on opportunities and solutions to improve organizational effectiveness across the specified business, through effective guidance and collaboration with the HR CoEs and HR BSC to ensure best delivery of HR services to business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Organizational Alignment: Develop and implement regional HR strategies, aligned with AME HR strategies, that drive business outcomes. Partner with AME HR CoEs to execute human resource strategies, proactively anticipate human capital needs, and contribute to long-term HR objectives.
  • Business Acumen: Actively engage in strategic discussions, using financial acumen to connect HR strategies with organizational goals. Provide expert guidance to management on HR opportunities and challenges, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Consultative Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on human capital and organizational development. Act as a culture change agent and champion inclusion and diversity.

Talent & Workforce Management

  • People Strategy and Impact: Cultivate a highly engaged, high-performance workforce. Lead long-term staffing and workforce planning strategies. Manage employee relations with CoE support.
  • Talent Development & Succession: Lead comprehensive talent management, including conducting regular talent reviews and succession planning, to build diverse talent pipelines and identify high-potential individuals. Develop future leaders through robust development and career pathing initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management

  • Operational Leverage: Utilize the BSC and CoEs to streamline administrative tasks and promote self-service options for associates. Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives for the region in partnership with the CoE.
  • M&A and Risk Mitigation: Lead HR-related activities during Mergers & Acquisitions, including effective integration and employee experience, while proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years in an HR Business Partner or other relevant HR professional role
  • Experience in mid-level/management-level HR roles for mid- to large-scale industrial, distribution, manufacturing, or retail organizations, including remote workforces.

Strong business and financial acumen, digital proficiency (Workday, Google Suite, PowerBI), exceptional collaboration and influencing capabilities, efficient decision-making, results orientation, ability to delegate and empower, global strategic mindset, adaptability, self-motivation, and effective communication across all organizational levels.
