Overview
Summary: The Enterprise IT Technician works with various types of internal software, SaaS platforms, and hardware platforms to ensure Vertical Bridge is running free from technical issues that could prohibit daily productivity. You will be responsible for handling both day-to-day troubleshooting and long-term IT projects, supporting users and maintaining our hardware and software environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second level technical support for VB employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Support platforms will vary but primarily Microsoft 365 suite, including troubleshooting, user setup, and administration.
- Manage primarily Lenovo laptops, ensuring proper configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Understand user management and access control in Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role management to support overall security.
Platforms you will work daily include but not limited to:
- Microsoft 365 Suite
- iOS and Android Mobile Devices for authentication
- Lenovo and Microsoft laptops
- VB Custom Applications
Working Conditions
- Position will work directly from the corporate office with minimum travel.
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 20-40 pounds.
- Ability to physically deploy laptops, monitors, docking stations, standard end-user IT equipment.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT support or related role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Lenovo and Microsoft Surface laptops, iOS and Android devices, and Xerox printers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID user management and Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.
