Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in clinic, inpatient, and outpatient settings

  • Obtain pertinent health histories and conduct thorough physical examinations

  • Formulate diagnoses, develop care plans, and communicate effectively with patients and families

  • Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with federal and state guidelines

  • Document patient encounters accurately in the NextGen electronic health record or other required systems

  • Perform cardiology procedures within scope of training and experience

  • Review and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, EKGs) and follow up promptly

  • Collaborate with case management, specialists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes

  • Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as assigned

  • Participate in peer review, provider meetings, quality assurance, outreach, and patient education initiatives

  • Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified (current) or Board Eligible in Cardiology

  • Active and unrestricted California medical license

  • Current Federal DEA registration

  • Additional credentials as required by specialty

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
