A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a

Category Manager – Electronics/PCBs

to join its sourcing team. This role will be responsible for managing one of the company’s key contract manufacturer (CM) relationships and overseeing full lifecycle procurement responsibilities, including tactical execution and strategic sourcing initiatives.

The Commodity Manager will be instrumental in driving supplier performance, ensuring cost competitiveness, and supporting ongoing ERP adoption. This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while contributing to long-term strategic procurement growth.

Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement for PCBs and electronics through an assigned CM Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure delivery, quality, and cost performance Execute purchase orders, monitor demand forecasts, and ensure timely supply of critical components Lead RFQs and negotiate supplier pricing, agreements, and terms Partner with engineering and program management on new product introductions (NPIs), ensuring early supplier engagement Identify cost savings and supplier diversification opportunities Support ERP system adoption, transitioning procurement processes away from manual spreadsheets Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing leadership, operations, and engineering

Required Experience 7+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management 5+ years specifically in electronics/PCB sourcing Direct experience managing contract manufacturers and electronic component suppliers ERP system proficiency (CIS Pro preferred; SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards acceptable) Proven success with RFQs, cost negotiations, and supplier performance management Experience supporting NPI sourcing and BOM alignment with engineering teams

Work Environment & Benefits Onsite role in Hartford, WI, with hybrid flexibility available after 6 months based on performance Minimal travel required (supplier visits or industry events) Competitive base salary of
