The Expeditor will work closely with the Procurement team to identify urgent and critical customer orders, track associated supplier purchase orders, and drive performance improvements across major suppliers. This role is accountable for achieving functional and business objectives, including improving On-Time Delivery (OTD), reviewing supplier capacity, and ensuring purchase order data accuracy for the Aftermarket Center of the Valves business. The Expeditor will maintain clear communication with suppliers and take proactive steps to ensure timely fulfillment of purchase orders aligned with customer requirements and need-by dates.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and take action on aging Purchase Requisitions (PRs), create Purchase Orders (POs), update PO promise dates, and manage schedule changes in response to ERP exception messages. Ensure best cost, quality, and delivery timelines for materials. Support Procurement and Fulfillment KPIs, including OTD and PO promise date accuracy. Conduct regular meetings with strategic suppliers to review performance and negotiate optimal pricing and lead times. Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to implement design changes. Develop a strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, material pricing, and quality standards. Work with Global and Site Commodity Leaders to implement cost-reduction strategies and manage supplier workloads to meet Aftermarket demands. Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and build strategic relationships.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Skills & Characteristics High energy, self-motivated, and capable of working across functions and teams. Ability to apply pressure on suppliers, develop recovery plans, and prioritize production. Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain-related fields. Solid business and financial acumen, with an understanding of operations and the oil & gas industry. Experience in program/project management and working with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with supervisory experience. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in PC and database tools. Ability to perform under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
