CAKE PICNIC
Overview CAKE PICNIC is a global experiential brand and viral community event that brings together hundreds of bakers and guests to share cake, creativity, and connection. As we expand our tour stops across the U.S. and internationally, we are seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee production of events.

Objective To provide full-service event management and day-of support for CAKE PICNIC, maintaining excellent event experiences for hundreds and thousands of attendees globally. Role Payment is hourly and hours are flexible. Travel to CAKE PICNIC tour stops required for event day execution (travel and lodging covered for non-local events). Estimated 10-25 hours per event (including planning, communications, and event day). Location is flexible (most of the work can be done remotely). CAKE PICNIC is currently planning for 14 tour stops in 2026. Scope of Work
Develop and manage production timelines, run-of-show, and logistics plans. Coordinate with venues on permits, insurance, layouts, access, and load-in/out. Manage vendor contracts, quotes, and delivery/strike schedules. Coordinate with sponsors on brand activations to ensure proper setup and integration into the event. Create structure for volunteer roles, assignments, and day-of orientation (volunteer recruitment handled separately). Design guest experience flow (check-in, cake labeling, signage, announcements). Serve as on-site event lead and MC/point of contact for venue, vendors, staff, and volunteers. Oversee setup, guest entry, event flow, sponsor activations, and breakdown. Troubleshoot issues discreetly to maintain a seamless guest experience. Post-event Oversee strike and ensure the venue is left in proper condition. Provide debrief with notes on wins, challenges, and recommendations. Master event schedule and run-of-show. Vendor and volunteer contact lists + assignments. On-site management (typically 8–10 hours depending on venue). Post event retrospective. Seniority level
