Regional travel within Georgia and the Southeast as needed Our client, an established player in infrastructure development, is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to oversee utility and civil infrastructure projects. With an emphasis on underground systems like wastewater pipelines, tunneling, and directional boring, this role plays a critical part in the safe and efficient delivery of public infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full lifecycle of heavy civil and utility construction projects, including roadways, bridges, and subsurface pipeline installations. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations from pre-construction through closeout. Direct field teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. Evaluate drawings, permits, and specifications to ensure project feasibility and identify improvements. Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and inspectors to keep projects on track and within scope. Mitigate risk through proactive issue resolution and stakeholder communication. Maintain and report on project KPIs related to cost control, timeline, and safety metrics. Represent the organization in client meetings and government relations regarding project execution. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing complex civil or utility construction projects. Proven success in leading projects involving tunneling, directional boring, or large-scale piping systems. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant credentials such as PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, or equivalent highly preferred. Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Procore, or Primavera. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to stakeholder management. In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental considerations related to civil infrastructure.
