Our client, a major hospital in Boston with a fantastic reputation, is seeking a Patient Coordinator to support administrative and customer service functions.
The ideal candidate is a recent college grad or someone with 1-2 years of administrative or customer service experience to make an impact with a healthcare organization that is helping to save lives.
*This a hybrid position requiring 4 days onsite, 1 WFH (after the training/probationary period).
*Must be able to commute to Boston (parking is limited but very accessible via public transportation).
Key Responsibilities
Appointment Scheduling & Management -Booking and managing patient appointments, balancing patient needs with provider availability.
Patient Communication- Acting as the first point of contact, answering questions, and providing information via phone, email, or in person.
Administrative Tasks- Registering new patients, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring patient information is submitted for coding and billing.
Care Coordination- Helping patients navigate their treatment plans, connecting them with resources, and managing any administrative or clinical needs.
Financial & Insurance Support- Handling inquiries related to insurance, explaining benefits, and processing information for billing.
Requirements
BA/BS Degree preferred
1-2 years of administrative or customer service experience ideal
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite
Long-term interest in working in a healthcare setting
