Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing healthcare organization that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities across Illinois. As they expand, they're seeking an experienced VP of RCM to join their Skokie team to oversee all billing and collections activities for the organization.
The VP of RCM will lead a team of AR, Billing, and Collections professionals, oversee revenue cycle processes across multiple facilities, and drive performance, compliance, and collections optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support AR staff, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections processes across all facilities
• Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay billing cycles
• Lead a centralized AR department supporting 13+ facilities across multiple payers
• Monitor AR aging reports, reduce days in AR, and improve overall cash flow
• Collaborate with facility business office managers and corporate leadership to align on revenue strategy
• Identify and resolve issues related to denials, underpayments, and billing errors
• Manage communication with payers, facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and efficiency
• Ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met throughout the revenue cycle process
• Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and best practices
• Prepare and analyze reports using Excel and billing software for leadership review
• Collaborate with finance, clinical, and operational teams to align billing practices and improve performance
Requirements:
• 5+ years of AR/revenue cycle experience in a multi-site skilled nursing organization
• 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership or executive role in AR
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and third-party billing
• Proficiency in Adelpo and Sage Intacct (Preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, filtering, etc.)
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
