Job Summary The Safety Technician will support the company's safety program by assisting with inspections, training, documentation, and compliance monitoring on civil construction projects. This role works closely with the Safety Managers, Project Manager, and field crews to help maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Key Responsibilities Assist in conducting job site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify compliance with safety standards. Support accident/incident investigations by gathering information, preparing reports, and assisting with root-cause analysis. Help deliver and track safety training sessions, including new hire orientations and toolbox talks. Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and reports, including inspection checklists, training attendance, and incident documentation. Monitor the availability and proper use of PPE and safety equipment on job sites. Provide support in implementing corrective actions and follow-up from audits, inspections, or incidents. Stay current on OSHA standards and industry best practices and communicate updates to the safety team and field crews. Assist in promoting a strong safety culture through daily field engagement and visible presence on job sites. Qualifications Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience). 1–3 years of safety-related experience in construction. Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and general construction safety practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize potential hazards. Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with employees at all levels. Ability to work in outdoor construction environments with frequent travel to job sites. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with digital reporting tools. Safety certification required (OSHA 500, CSST, CSSS, CHST or similar) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Must
