Coverage includes one physician and one APP each day, with the APP typically rounding at SMC. The schedule is 12 hours on-site (7 a.m.7 p.m.) and 12 hours on call (7 p.m.7 a.m.), with call generally quiet due to telestroke overnight coverage. Average daily census is around 20 patients. This is an inpatient consult-only service with 12-hour onsite shifts (7 a.m.7 p.m.) followed by 12 hours of call. Consults include stroke, seizure, EEG interpretation/reading, and other neurological conditions, with APP supervision provided. Tele-neuro covers initial strokes through an outside group.
Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: Average daily census of 20. Support Staff: It is one doc and 1 APP on each day. They do cover both TMC and SMC – but typically the APP will round at SMC for them Call Ratio/Schedule: It is 12 hours on site and 12 hours on call.
