Responsibilities
- Follow instructions.
- Read location and road maps.
- Pre-inspection of truck and trailer.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes/procedures at all times.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Two (2) years of truck driving experience is required.
- Pallet jack experience is required; forklift experience preferred.
- Able to pass a background check, annual physicals and annual/random drug testing.
- Clean driving record without DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven (7) years.
- Good human relations skills, strong listening and verbal communication skills are required.
Compensation & Benefits
