Role Summary: This is a full-time on-site role in Austin, TX for a Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, with a strong emphasis on stock control, inventory accuracy, and equipment readiness. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and tools, monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves managing and tracking a wide range of equipment, from tools to ladders and fleet vehicles, ensuring everything is safe, operational, and properly allocated. Additional duties include overseeing equipment and material ordering, coordinating with vendors and project teams, and maintaining clear communication channels to support field operations and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, shipping, storage, and distribution to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock counts, and manage stock control systems to ensure order accuracy and product rotation. Material Management: Stage, label, and track project materials; oversee sign-in/sign-out processes and maintain a real-time revolving inventory list accessible to executive management. Purchasing & Returns: Generate purchase orders, track order status, manage deliveries, and process returns when necessary. JobTread Oversight: Be a primary JobTread user: record deliveries and pickups, update project tasks, track orders, and provide timely updates to project leads, estimators and management. Project Coordination: Communicate with estimators regarding project needs and change orders; ensure materials and resources are aligned with schedules. Vendor & Client Relations: Coordinate with suppliers, transport companies, and clients to manage logistics, resolve issues, and support project requirements. Fleet Management: Monitor company vehicles, including registrations, maintenance, repairs, insurance claims, Azuga maintenance, and safe operation by all staff. Safety & Compliance: Enforce and adhere to health, safety, and security standards, including OSHA requirements and proper equipment maintenance. Space Utilization and Housekeeping: Optimize warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization, organization, accurate counts and inventory. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times with open aisles. Team Leadership: Lead, train, motivate, and support the warehouse team; oversee performance and administer disciplinary actions when necessary. Work Environment: A fast-paced environment with products stacked throughout the facility. Hands on and mobile- This position requires the ability to move around the warehouse, watching for hazards at all times. This position will require assisting with equipment handling, organizing materials, loading/unloading vehicles, or preparing tools to support the team when short staffed. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, as well as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Qualifications: Preferred: 3 years or more experience within the datacom/ telecom industry and a working knowledge of the project materials we will be using and ordering. Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a team, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to report and reprimand as necessary, as well as give usable feedback to team members when needed. Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management software, inventory control systems, construction management software such as JobTread and proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Excel. Safety Knowledge: Understanding of warehouse best practices and proper safety procedures. Employee must have a working knowledge of OSHA standards and always maintain the warehouse to these set standards. Flexibility: Willingness to step in where the team needs support, which may include assisting with different warehouse tasks or adjusting priorities to meet project deadlines.
