This is an exciting opportunity to join an established yet growing organization with a diverse and expanding portfolio of open-air shopping centers across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Texas, and emerging western markets. The company has a strong track record of identifying value-add opportunities, executing successful redevelopment and repositioning strategies, and delivering long-term growth for investors and partners.
This individual will play a central role within the investment and asset management team, reporting directly to senior leadership and working in close collaboration with the firm's operational heads across leasing, property management, construction, development, and finance. The Senior Asset Manager will be tasked with driving financial performance and implementing strategies that optimize asset value, occupancy, and cash flow. The role is both strategic and hands-on, combining high-level portfolio analysis with day-to-day oversight of individual property performance. It also offers significant exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, and redevelopment initiatives, making it a highly visible and career-defining position within the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and control expenses, driving value creation and mitigating risk across the portfolio.
Review, monitor, and report on asset performance against business plans and investment proformas, analyzing monthly financial statements, leasing reports, market data, and operating reports.
Ensure assets meet acquisition underwriting and proforma objectives, including execution of capital improvement plans and investor return targets.
Provide quarterly and annual cash distribution recommendations, as well as hold/sell/refinance analysis for senior management.
Support acquisition underwriting and due diligence; lead the onboarding of newly acquired assets.
Prepare and present quarterly business plan updates and market insights to senior management and capital partners.
Build and refine financial models for leasing, financing, development, and disposition scenarios using Excel, ARGUS, and other tools.
Oversee property-level expense approvals, capital expenditures, and reserve management.
Assist in refining best-in-class asset management processes and reporting standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
5–7+ years of commercial real estate experience with a focus on retail asset management.
Advanced financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and ARGUS; familiarity with Yardi, Salesforce, and Power BI a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial and operational data into actionable insights.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and thrive under deadlines.
Confident presentation skills and the ability to interface with senior stakeholders, partners, and lenders
