Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manage, using Core Values, all Dallas flooring estimators and they report directly to you Vacation, L&D, Reviews, Etc. Know market and pricing Manage Projections with BD Work with BD directly Know customer base and types of jobs (Build relationships with PreCon of companies) Allocate estimators to jobs (know strengths and weaknesses) Manage Building Connected Bid not to bid Analyze wins and losses Review Bids (scope, bid forms, bonds, etc.) Needs assessment and hiring Train Estimators Estimating 10-20% Managing (reviewing bids and training) 70% Sales 10% Scorecard: Hitting Core targets, Estimate $4 mil in Dallas, Touches Collaborate on when to take a job and not Timing, manpower allocation, leadership, type of job
Ensure your team is competent in: Estimating through Planswift Estimating Program Thoroughly analyze drawings and specifications Understand contractual terms and conditions Learn to provide clear detailed quantity take offs Assemble estimates and proposals Receive manufacture proposals for material quotes for estimating purposes Organize paper trail of bid, proposal, specs, quotes, etc. in a clear method Review and Analyze schedule Log in Building connected Ability to engage the GC on follow ups Call customers to learn about the FRP’s
Key Competencies: Wet-apply commercial floor coating experience (Epoxy, Resinous etc...) required High level of fluency reading plans, specifications & related documents Strong eye for detail Able to maintain focus & deliver against deadlines Above average written & verbal communication and math skills Flexibility to work in fast-paced environment, variable working hours both in office & field. Enjoy various challenges with a multitasked position from takeoff to sales Great attitude
Qualifications: Experience and familiarity with construction industry Competent with technology and programs PlanSwift, Plan Grid, Building Connected & MS Office Suite, specifically Excel Graduate in engineering, architectural or construction management program is an asset. Management experience Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Physical Requirements: Representative of those that must be met by employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
