Commercial Superintendent – Ground-Up & Interior Projects
Location: Charlotte, NC
We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Superintendent to oversee ground-up and interior construction projects in the Charlotte area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex commercial builds exceeding $30 million in value. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
?? Responsibilities
Lead daily on-site construction operations for ground-up and interior commercial projects
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to ensure efficient workflow
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve field issues proactively
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to maintain alignment on project goals
Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders
Mentor and supervise assistant superintendents and field personnel
Represent the company professionally with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
?? Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role
Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $30M+
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
OSHA 30 certification preferred
