Arrowmont Constructors, a trusted name in the commercial construction industry for 28 years, is seeking a Construction Project Administrator to join our Houston, TX based team. Specializing in retail and restaurant free-standing buildings, our work primarily consists of repeat business from long-term clients. As we expand our client base, we need an exceptional individual who embodies our service-oriented philosophy.
As a Construction Project Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing the flow of documentation to and from our job sites. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring exceptional organization, communication, self-motivation, and typing skills.
Key Responsibilities: · Answering phone calls and handling client reporting requirements. · Support Project managers by creating and expediting transmittals, typing and administrating purchase orders and contracts. · Organizing and managing project needs such as setting up utility accounts, applying for permits and certificates of occupancy, gathering project close out information, and collecting lien waivers. · Supporting several field superintendents by assembling vendor lists, locating utility consultants, and writing purchase orders. · Writing Service Orders and following up their completion · Contacting potential subcontractors for the estimating department.
The Person · Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. · Proficient in software such as Word, Excel, Sage 100 Contractor, and PlanGrid. · Experience in managing documentation flow for construction projects. · Strong customer service orientation. · Previous experience in construction project administration would be a plus. · Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to support field superintendents and engage with vendors.
